Chiral magnetism and topological excitation
The Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction £¨DMI) is an antisymmetric exchange interactions originating from magnetic materials with large spin-orbit coupling.
It can stablize chiral magnetic configurations such as chiral domain wall, skyrmion and bimerons.
The dynamics of these magnetic structures can be models by using the Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert (LLG) equation.
We model the cooling, excitation, and near-equilibirum state of a magnetic system with chiral spin exchange interactions,
from which we can see the formation and motion of bimerons, as shown in the following movies.
